Some places get into your blood. The East End of Long Island is one of them.
For 30 years, I called East Hampton home — not as a summer visitor, but as a year-round resident who lived and breathed the rhythms of that extraordinary place. The quiet, frost-bitten winters when the village belonged to the locals. The electric summers when the world arrived and everything came alive. And out at Montauk — "The End," as we call it — where the island finally surrenders to the Atlantic, wild and unfiltered.
I owned two restaurants on the East End. One year-round in East Hampton, a local favorite that fed the community through every season. One seasonal in Montauk, where summers were loud, beautiful, and gone too fast.
Over three decades, those restaurants became something bigger than food. They became family. My staff was as diverse as the world itself — American high school and college students working their first real jobs, and young people who had traveled from Jamaica, England, Ireland, Poland, Albania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine, all drawn to the East End and the opportunity it offered. They came for a summer and many stayed for years. They worked hard, laughed loud, and built something together that none of us could have created alone.
Many of us are still friends today — connected across continents and time zones, bound by the kind of bond that only forms when you pour everything into something you love, side by side.
Hampton & Shore was born from all of that. The coastline. The community. The belief that a life well-lived looks a lot like the East End — open, generous, and built around the people who show up.
This is a brand for those who feel the pull of the shore. Whether you've spent summers in the Hamptons, chased waves in Montauk, or simply love the coastal way of life — you belong here.
Welcome to Hampton & Shore.
